Agencies Awarded $1.2M

KidsFirst is continuing the fight against homelessness in partnership with seven other area agencies.  As reported in the Auburn Journal article,$1.2 MIllion to Fight Poverty Locally,  and the Granite Bay Press Tribune article $1.2M to Fight Local Homelessness, KidsFirst is among the recipients of funds through the  American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.

Utility bill and temporary rent assistance funds will be made possible through this funding.  Money is also dedicated to getting those who are currently homeless back into housing as well as the development of a homeless-services tracking system.
